Mine was also registered at DVLA office in Guildford, but car was bought from VAG dealership in Sunninghill, Berks. Don't need to look up the code, I remember writing that cheque for £10k!

This registration was first registered during the period August 1987 to July 1988.

The registration was first registered in Kingston-upon-Hull.
