Yeah, that Tranny van was mint.  And for £1850 ono, that Rover SD1 V8 was a proper motor.

Some good cars there last night - including our lot.

Overall, 7 MK1s from this Forum attended, and others were scattered around too.

Good to see everyone - thanks all for making the effort.

I took it steady on motorway back up, and managed to get back without the manifold dropping off.  Reckon mine was the loudest there last night, but also the cr@ppest sounding one too! Lol.

Cheers.

Yeah, it did sound like a crosser - might go out rallying on fields tonight!

glad you got back ok steve, hopefuly its not your manifold, pig job and expensive, brightside though, you have an excuse for a stainless one

Chris,

It is the manifold - 2 holes in banks 2 and 4.

It's a 4-2-1 job, so obviously not original (OEM was a cast iron job wasn't it?).

It can be welded, which is being done on Tuesday night, but think a Stainless Steel one will end up going on soon after.  Presume ARB removal is required, but should be OK otherwise - inlet and exhaust manifold was unbolted last year for head work anyway.

Unit3Tuning do one on ebay seems a decent price.  45mm inlet and 50mm outlet - they the standard sizes?

Cheers mate.
