Cheers Hairyarse, believe me I'm working on that 7 days a week pain in the bud that I've got. Hopefully something will come up soon and I'll have my weekends again.

Hi there guys, managed to get some new parts and some second hand seats in the meantime. Will post some pics as soon as I get a change. The seats comes from the newer model CTI. Grey at the moment but will send them to be covered as soon as I know what colour I want to do inside.

Haven't been on here for a while but got the 7 day working thing sorted. In fact I am now managing a panelshop and I got the body bad but not very happy with the colour and outcome so it will be redone in our shop. Will putt some pics soon. Here's a look at what the motor looks like now and you can see the golf in the backround.

  



Hope I can get some more work done on it now.

Good luck with the build, good to see you're back on track, as for the colour I don't think it looks too bad from the photos, something a bit different. But if you're not happy ans you've got the chance to change it you might as well. Looking forward to see how this turns out. Keep the photos coming.
Plus your nipper looks a cool dude in his specs and hat.  

Thx Fathammer he's quit a heartbreaker and has already started walking since I have last posted those pics. Really have to lift may feet high to keep up with him. But yes back to business on the MK1. hope to get it sorted now.

Hi there guys, small udate on some bits that's gonna need attention.


Aftermarket not the best choice. Have to search for some nice looking second hand once.

The floor was rusted so they just welded a plate in. Have to make that look a little better as well.

And then some old rust that was just painted over to get sorted.


And starting to clean up some parts and making them work properly again.
