Whats your MK1 for ????

So far, for spending money on and staring at the temp light wondering why it won't go out :D
Great fun to drive though, and she's just a lovely thing to have - really enjoyed driving home at sunset last night with the roof down, wish I'd had my camera on me!

only gets taken out about once a week…parks at my parents place in the garage.  Fetching it tonight after 3.5weeks of being parked…hate using it to go to mall etc.  Thieving bastards. :banghead:

Mines not moved out my garage since I got it, being used mainly for parts storage at the moment. Will be a play thing once on the road. :D

i bought mine just to use as and when i feel like it…picking my lad up from school, have intensions of doing a few meets if time allows.
don`t  think it`ll ever become my daily car though..i`d stop appreciating it if i drove it everyday,
at the moment i seem to be liking my polo again,so i`ll just keep chopping/changing to maintain my interest in both cars.

Bought mine as a daily but since I found out the amount of work that it needs, it's getting restored and kept for nice days and show/meets etc. I'll be looking for another mk1 to use as a daily in the new year, probably go custom with that one.

daily driver and something for me to tinker with.

i sold up my expensive depreciating car as it was just a money pit.

i am trying to do as much work on it myself as i feel confident doing.

i wanted one of these for years and am really enjoying ownership.

its only 1.3 but i don't care.

its full of dents and marks but i don't care.

next year i will attack the appearance. the mechanical side is priority at the moment.

Me too, though I didn't sell my expensive depreciating car as I never had one.

My '79 1500 diesel is my daily, with half the running cost of my '80 1800 cabriolet, which comes out whenever it's nice, not so often this time of year.

It's so much nicer to drive than a modern car, and like I said, I'm saving money too.

The bodywork doesn't really like the winter, but it's getting fixed slowly, and my run to work is country roads, around 20 miles each way.
