My Helios Blue Cabby (Quick Tidy Up)

Hi all,

I bought this back in February/March cant remember exactly I was probably drunk when I said I would have it! Anyway my plan was to just tidy it up a bit and see where I end up maybe with thoughts of buying a better one in a few years if I get the bug.  Its my first VW and is fairly solid especially underneath however its far from perfect by the standards of your cars on here but I am not after creating an original show car just something to play with over the Summer and something that looks fairly presentable (Mainly at 70 MPH when it goes past!) maybe with time it will get a proper resto but for now here goes,

This is how she was the day I bought her,

And now just a couple of bits I have done to tidy her up,

Gave her a quick rub down filled as many of the little dings and dents as possible,

And a quick fresh coat of Helios Blue,

Anyway I have the car back at home now,

Rear bumper now added along with badges etc,

Badgeless front grille and tinted headlight added,

And now the front bumper in place along with an eyebrow spoiler,

New door cards had to be sourced as it had odd trim when I got it,

And also had to fit Mk2 Golf door check straps,

And for the moment that is it but I have much more to do and will keep this thread updated as often as possible  :D

New A-pillar gutter trim now in place,

Clear side repeater fitted just the other side to do once I turn car around in garage,

And the first Clipper arch in place Drivers side front,

Took me a couple of mins to work out which arch went where but got there in the end, But due to the wheel arch liner slightly sticking down as in below pic,

I finally worked out the correct arch for it was the one with the slight cut out in it (Pic below) and the ones with no cut out were the rear ones! Might have been helpful for me to just ask eh!,

No mate I got held up fitting a new electric aeriel before I finish kit had to remove inner arch liner to get at it so wanted to do that before I set about fitting clipper arch as it gets in the way slightly.
