I was thinking McAlpine but i could be wrong. There were faint stencils under the green that said 'small works contracting' who knows, it was found in a farmers field before i bought it off ebay a couple of years ago.

Ive just moved the golf into my new workshop so should be getting a few bits done. Its the 3rd workshop in as many years lol! Fitted a mk2 master cylinder and servo and started the repair to the A pillar. Still got lots to do and even more parts to find as its just an empty shell. Got a GTD to go in too.

Found new enthusiasm for this little p.o.s lol.
Fixed the arch as in the pic above and also a piece on the A pillar. Started on the offside sill which is a lot better than the nearside was, should only need a few little bits replacing. Guess that's from driving through puddles at the side of the road.
Finally got a dashboard and clocks and some other interior parts.
Just got to stay motivated lol!

Had fun lying under my car replacing this piece-
Haven't looked at the other side so can't remember how bad it is.

Been doing a bit, made a rotisserie and the car is now on its side. Finished off the rear chassis on both sides. Couple of holes in the boot floor, maybe a few more when i take the cracking dead underseal off! Tank and rear beam should clean up nice.
Started work on some minor parts on the front suspension.

I think that's the fuel tank breather that sits in the rear driver's side arch. If they get blocked then the fuel tank pressurises after a few miles of driving and you get fuel starvation. Whether there is a better way of letting the Fuel tank breath I do not know.
I'm looking for a garage/ workshop in Northants if you can recommend anywhere?
cheers
