1981 , 1 lady owner since new. 68,000 on the clock. All original. Needing a little tlc but overall a cracking little car for £1k.

Heyup buddy
Is this the one that was for sale in Kingslynn? We were all talking about this one not long back hoping that somebody on here was gonna snap it up! Well Done.
Chris

Hi Chris,
Yes it was mate.. Bit of a drive from Dorset, but drove her all the way home and didn't miss a beat. Hadn't been drove for months and when it did was only ever used to pop to the shops and back. So was good to give it a good run home.
Very pleased with it and so original… The old lady was lovely as well, and was sad to see it go.

Nice place.  My last mk1 came from near there.  A place called Bourton.

Looks like you've done very well with your purchase  :)

This one cost £600 (Nov 2011, 1984 1.8GLI 290,000kms):

before:

After:

This one was considerably more however was bought as is (many of you may recognise it as DJRuss's old car, and will remember the lengths he went to to bring it up too standard)
This is actually my Dad's who caught the bug while helping sort mine out.
