My 1983 Golf Mk1 GTI - The final push!

Post

My 1983 Golf Mk1 GTI

So again its been ages since I have posted any news on my progress, Its been painfully slow due to other commitments etc. So here's what I’ve
 been up to,

New stainless steel TSR Jextex exhaust system. Now fitted - was surprisingly easy as its a custom made 2" pipe unlike the standard Jextex systems which are 2.5". Only downside is I didn't check the tail pipe size and its massive, 3" round! Pictures on the car to follow.

Engine is now back in, just waiting on a few last parts to get it finished, HT leads etc as sold wrong ones at trade show. Here's a pic of how its looking, I need to re-route a few of the electrics and other cables as not in the correct places. Seems to be all the small jobs that take the most time!

Engine bay looks incredible    I love sparse, smoothed bays usually, but the amount of work in yours is immense. Great job.

Time for another update,

Cars now back on the road, Still have wiring and routing issues, seems to be running very hot and have a small fueling problem! Going to get it to JMR asap to give it a tune up and general look over as I'm not very confident with my work!

Want to attend a Sussex meet soon :thumbs:So here's a few before and after pictures,
