Hmm, just won a golf on ebay and the Hpi report isn't good!!

Its up to you sounds like you have made your mind up and your pulling out of the sale, i think if its not sounding right to you and things are not tallying up in your mind then pull out.

I dont think its all that bad its cheap enough however its not my money think its your call only. Think the car should have been viewed and questions asked and hpi's done befor hand, as cars 2nd hand are sold as seen the seller may not be aware on stuff you found if he/she bought it without hpi checks.

It dunt fit

I did ask the questions though, I spoke to the guy and got the right answers.

To be fair to him he didn't know either.

I think I'm just really disappointed, I was really looking forward to buying it and all the niggles have spoiled it for me.

I thought I'd found the perfect car, fairly tidy, pretty  original

I still really like it, and have been speaking to the seller at length as well.

Its not much money and is the one that has appealed the most.

He may have and may not have known. Ebay is not any old selling/buying place, however there is some good genuine people out there and things like this can be resolved but some are not or some will go by ebay rules and hold people to the sale, leave negative feed back or just simply dissapear and come back with a diffren't user name thats buyer/seller that is.

Ebay is what it is.

If you two can sort sumat out thats great but this post may bring things up in peoples minds to check, view, whatever

If you are unsure walk away, gut reactions are usually right. Why isn't the engine shown on the V5?!

There will be another one around the corner.

Well should have listened to my gut!!

Went to look at it and I think the seller took a picture of a different car!!

-Rust bubbling under filler on the bonnet.
-Wires cut and Dangling
-Lots of pidgeon crap welding around the strut tops and inner wings(with fresh underseal)
-Strange front suspension issue, the passengers side wheel stuck out about an inch more than the drivers side!!

It just didn't look or sit right.

The interior was nice though.

The search continues….

In our house we call it Peach or Plum! I buy a car on ebay, travel across the country to view/buy it and then text the Mrs to let her know how it went!

Peach = I'm on my way back with the car
Plum = I'm on the train on my way home sans car!

I still do it though and every so often I get a Peach.
There are too many online users to list.
