Wipers playing up, now packed up completely!!

Just got a mate in the yard to have a look, part number is -   171955529 Siemens 5wk1618

thats  the rear wiper relay

8O Right I shall make a start at dismantling my dash now so i can get to the other little blighters!

I have just tried fitting the new relay into every socket which will accomodate it and still no wipers nor any sound coming from the relay. I should also add I have now fitted a brand new wiper motor from a mk2 golf. Whats the next thing to check?

if you have power to the motor grey/black, the fuse is ok at least. maybe the earth check you have continuity to ground on the brown wire
