Limerick MK1 meet - Sunday 27th May

LIMERICK VW Show 2012

It's hard to believe that it's 20 YEARS since the first show was held in 1992!

To put that into perspective,the Mk3 Golf had yet to appear at the main dealers & some VW drivers hadn't been born yet… Not me  :wink:

Sunday May 27 2012 from 10.00 am onwards.

Unigolf club
National Technological Park
Plassey Park Road
Castletroy
Limerick.

(This is only a couple of miles from Junction 28 on M7 & is very close to the University of Limerick)


All VAG vehicles welcome / Entry fee per car still only €5 & as usual no pre-entry required.

Lets see if we can get a few mk1 golfs parked up together.   :dontknow:

Going to try and get all mk1 in the same spot again this year. Let's hope the weather is with us. Wouldn't you just be sick of the rain…  :dontknow:

Hi, I have heard about this event from some of my friends in the vw scene and I'd be hoping to attend in my '83 mk1 campaign. Looking forward to it…

Excellent the more cars the better. Should be a good gang of us. Hopefully the mk1 owners Ireland club banner will be with us by then too.

I had to get  another clock cluster .It worked out that the bulb was blown but the blue foil circuit was also brittle and cracked .circuit was broken in a number of places … resulting in the disco effect  on the dash  If i get a new one of either , I'll replace and be in limerick ……. .Just got garage finished tonite for the car . great job .

Hi Jim… The joys of mk1 ownership at least you are at the bottom of the problem and you know it can be fixed. A new shed too… For the wee car… we look forward to the pics of that. Ill post up some route meet times for the show closer to the time. Good luck with your cluster rebuild.

I reckon about 10/12. I have requested space for around 15 cars. Who ever is first to arrive just hold the spot. Not going to generate lists etc anyone who has a mk1 is welcome to come and join in. Should be a good day. Wanna get a good look at your brake upgrade too... 8O
