Was a web/ java/c++ software developer, but done everything from building comps' to help desk, SAP and now at uni 'learning' how to be an IT manager in managing change and IT projects  

Work on railway with lots of different tickets to do all aspects of rail work p-way or civils but most of time hit things with a very big hammer  

Pipefitter/welder by trade, class 1 in welding  :twisted:

but now as work was very dry in that area i work in steelworks driving overhead cranes, cliche being from sheffield  :lmao:

Spend all day, every day, building and restoring interesting cars. Gets me out of bed with a smile.

Spent years driving , 2am starts , 6 days a week but now I work as an activities organiser / support worker for adults with  learning difficulties .  Fantastic job , puts things into perspective

I work in the middle east as a medic on an oil field, nothing to see for 8 weeks apart form dusty dirty roads, the odd camel, goat and a few sheep. God i need to get a life sometime..lol

Lean Sigma Black Belt for a large Aero Space company in Derby.
Basically try and improve the efficiencies of processes both manufacturing and transactional.
Really enjoy it! Hence the daily commute.

Heating engineer was V-good money, but the work was all council, was working in high rise blocks in south London for the last 6months, 1hr 30 commute to get abuse and work in shit dumps!

sometimes you have to sacrafice some financial stability to do something you really enjoy, especially if you find yourself hating most of your day, does'nt do your health any good.
