Yea but its in ireland, has no mot etc, going to cost me £500 + to go look, then get it recovered to the uk.

Ask him to mot it and put 6 months bees wax on it and say you want £500 off.
You could fly out for cheap £30.00 get him to meet you at Belfast and then either go via Dublin or Belfast, Belfast is a longer crossing but you don't have the 100 mile drive to Dublin.
I worked out for me to get to Derby holly head was quicker and less mileage.
Worth a punt.

He could MOT it in Newry or anywhere over the border in Northern Ireland - if he lives in Dublin 1hour 30 minutes maximum.

I still think the ex's car is worth a look , needs a tidy…..hpi clear , 4 previous owners.  …….bit of time and money and you have a good investment in a rivage,

Hold up it's Northern Ireland anyway as he quotes Belfast, so he can MOT it and it doesn't run out till May anyway.

So why is he stating Belfast, has he moved address lol. When I looked at this he was listed at Carrickfergus. Not far from Belfast.
