Think ive ordered some parts… The Manifold gaskets the shop had come as 4 seperate parts. Will this type be ok?
Ordered an intake gasket too.
Just need to get some new manifold nuts.
How do you get the injectors out? Just pull them?

And the Exhaust Gaskets are 4 seperate ones. make sure you get them on the right way round. they go on both ways but one way covers the exhaust porta little. abit hard to see if your not under the car.
Should'nt need to remove the injectors unless you find it easier to get to stuff..yes they just pull out, they have a green rubber that selas them, this can be a job and you may end up splitting them getting them in and out. if you dont have to don't. can't say I saw them as in te way. Let us know how you get on.

Boom, you are not wrong! The inlet manifold bolts are not in the most convenient place! my back was killing eariler. Cheers for the heads up on the gaskets too, i see what you mean about them blocking the port if they are put in the wrong way.
Also, scored nuts and studs from an exhaust center around here for free! They quoted 1 hour labour for exhaust manifold over the phone but when i got there they said more likely 2-3hrs. I said i cant afford it and they gave me nuts and studs for free
Altogether cost about £8 in gaskets. Well happy
re-assembling tomorrow ( or this) morning and im going to brim the tank with the money i saved
Definately going for a drive this sunday even if i do have to hose the salt off when i get back

I just did them pretty tight with a spanner, was too scared to really crank them.
Thanks again Boom, one of them had blown through i think because it was in the wrong way round.
I would have messed it up again as i put the new ones in the same as the old.
Also, cured a misfire that happened for a few seconds after startup i thought it was the injector seals but a new inlet manifold gasket has sorted it
Replaced the ends on the thin distributor vacum pipe, sure it runs smoother now at lower speeds too.
Well happy, even though it took about 6 hours.
I owe you pints Boom and Timmy. Legends
