yep, engine mount from strictly dubs, as they were the only ones to sell them at the time, i've had it for a few years now.

gearbox mounts from vagobonds.

he sells them all now with bushes fitted.
or just caddys do them for a good price and well made.

How did the standard ecu work because I'm in two minds really to get the standard ecu done or go down the costly route off the engine managerment way?

Post

no idea, not had it running, but stuck with the stock ECU as it had been remapped for the engine and was a cheaper option than going standalone.

Is it always best to get the ecu from the same car that the engine came out off?
If it is I've got to buy it then. :-(

another vid of it just idling.

Mk1 Golf 1.8T 20v first start - YouTube

Both of them were filmed with just the 2.5" downpipe fitted,
now has the full 2.5" jetex exhaust on and its so much quieter.

not many pics as all the hard work has been done, mostly ,  finished off the hydro clutch at the weekend and bled it, so once Andy's car is removed ;) I can get mine back out the garage. Brakes are the next thing to get sorted out in the next few weeks.
few things under the bonnet that need neatening up and connecting,
