hey, i'm hoping to come along to this but now my gti wont start! i've posted in the mk1 chat section but thought it worthwhile to try here too

recently its been slow to start, and now it wont start for love nor money, it turns over fine, but just wont catch.

i'm about to do the obvious checks (spark, fuel pump, dizzy) but not being the most mechanically minded i was hoping someone around derby might be able to give me a hand?

i'm going to say cold start injector with that one

pull it out but it in a jar and start the car, if fuel comes out in a nice spray then it's fine. it should also shut off after a few seconds. as it's only used for cold starting

Thanks Bruce. She gradually became weaker and weaker last weekend, until she couldn'd get up and stopped eating and drinking. We think she had cancer. She had a good life as she was 13, but we are missing her so much. She is now at rest at Elv's Dads in the paddock under a walnut tree.Ax
