Sorry about the car. I got hit by a Volvo last year but got away with Cat C, and was able to get it back on the road.

Having a load of recent photos of the condition was enough to persuade the insurers to give me some cash to get the repairs done myself, after a bit of haggling, so see what you can do. Sometimes, they're surprisingly understanding.

You had any value off your insurance Dan, I've got a 1983 white gti cabby which like someone said before could put up for sale to get a representative value.
