The ring wont be included in this trip due to the distance between the places.

Proper good idea!  I'd really like to go on this Trip, and so would the Girlfriend. I travel all over the Uk in my Mk1 but havent yet ventured onto the continent as yet but would love to see the factory and a few sights and all with a bunch of Mk1 anaraks  , sounds like a right Laugh. German beer too!

If there is a list for attendees (and this is an open invite?) Please put myself  Dom & Kirsty down. Hopefully get to know some of you abit better in the time between too.

Thanks, Dom.

once off the ferry and taking it easy to wolfsburg area it would take maybe some 6-7hours, therefore i am thinking that it would be good to start travelling on the saturday and stay somewhere where all could meet on the saturday that is closer to dover. we could then say catch a ferry at 9am.

My Mrs has just come out with the statement of the year I was telling her of the rough itinerary then she said " are we flying there?" then within 1/2 a sec she realised what she had just said :lmao:  :lmao:

Mind you she then said " are we going to the Nurburgring which to be fair is a good call is it do able??

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

ok, my faithful secretary has has an email back regarding the ferry travel prices which is below………..

Message BodyHI DAVE
as you can see from this email cost has gone down from £80 to £69, however there is a deadline to meet of end of january therefore you may want to consider putting a message on the forum earlier, also payment is at time of booking, how is this going to be done , thought is people pay the club and the club pays dfds.
by securing payment for ferry this ensures the numbers going and we can firm a hotel.

Kind Regards

Sarah

i am still waiting on the Belgian VW club getting back to me with regards a meet up and the German VW club too to see weather they want to join us.

The basic outline of the trip will be…..
Sunday travel to Wolfsburg which is approx 7 hr drive but i dont want things to be boring and make it all autobahn so at the German border or towards Essen/Bochum we go countryside that way it will ease the boredom, then into the hotel and if we are up for it a bit of a get together and a drink on the Sunday night.

Monday a day sightseeing in Hannover, with a few drinks that night as not to be hungover for the trip back on the Wed instead of doing this on the Tuesday night

Tuesday taking in the factory tour which takes approx 2 hrs then on to the Museum and that takes 2-3 hours then there will be the time house which is another area that is quite interesting with plenty to spend your hard earned cash on at the end.

Also on the tuesday there will be the chance to do the off road track which will be at your expense.

Cheers, Dave.
