German Road Trip

I am trying to gauge an interest for a Road trip to Germany next year this will be around Aug/Sept 2012, details to be announced if interest is high.

Thew plan is to see what members think maybe a long weekend affair to Wolfsburg and Nurb ring, Hotels or b&b so if this interests you let me know your thoughts…………..

Sounds a great idea, however please be realistic on this. Back in 2008 I tried to organise a similar thing, and it even got to pencilling in a prospective date with a tour organiser who regularly does this kind of thing. Got lots of interest until it came to confirming the "maybes" into a "yes" and securing money for the trip deposit. Possibly a victim of the recession, and a couple of years on people are a bit more confident with their money etc to it will be viable this time round. Hopefully you'll be able to work around the issues from last time and make it happen.

this year i did the john o'groats to lands end but i have been thinking what i can do next year, sounds good idea, perhaps the week before the agm and convoy from germany, may be an interest from south england way to join convoy up to uttoxeter??

I would like to do this which is why I suggested it, as for doing it before the agm would pose a problem for me due to the committee organising the agm plus family holiday commitments, which was why I suggested the proposed ball park dates.

Thought so too, but seen nothing, so I'm going to see what can be done.

Ma and the misses would have been well up for this but we are getting married next september so unfortunatly couldnt make it :-(

littlerolf (Kim)did suggest this last year but never made any firm plans don't think it ever got out of the planing stage if i remember but like then i'm up for it just need to get a rough plan together with some costs and take it from there
