Golf 1983 1.3 Driver PAGE 3 Advice needed !
Hi my name is ryan and im 16 years old i bought this as ive always loved mk1's and my dad and mum have had them in the past.
she is in very good condition few marks nothing major
she came on f&k coilovers was going to be on bbs rm's but couldent afford the extra 500 quid
I have a few plans for her such as getting new wheels maybe ats cups but for the time being ive sprayed the steels as they were in bad condition
in the future i would like to put chrome bumpers on and get the rear panel resprayed as there are a couple of chips
so far i have put a new stereo in it, sprayed the steels up
it runs very well as we had a 110 mile drive home and not one fault apart from mum stalling it lots of times as she is used to her car
next mission is to make a shelter for her :?
I look forward to taking her to shows and meets so hopfully should get to know some of you
anyways here are some pictures of when i got her home
After a polish the next day
Wheels sprayed
I will get some pictures of the interior and engine bay tomorrow

In need of a hover cf_emoticons__BangHead:found out today that it could do with 2 new radiator brackets and there is a very small oil leak on a couple of the bolts on the rocket cover so im going to buy a new gasket and radiator brackets on friday and a few interior bits

Nice one Ryan, thats a lovely mk1 8)
I got my driver when I was 16 too! In my opinion there is something about the driver model which makes it cooler than the others in the mk1 range 8)
Look forward to seeing it's progress
