Photography.. New Camera Help!!
Get the cheapest DSLR that can go into full manual (aperture, exposure speed and ISO setting) and get the most expensive lens(es) you can afford and you'll be able to do anything!!! If you just want to take snaps and not miss the moment, then research all the little features which make using a camera easier, like bracket exposure stops, spot auto focus, shutter repeat speed, etc etc. some of the features are there for pros to make it possible to 'catch' good shots at challenging situations like journalism or sports events etc.

Picked up another dslr today.
Sony alpha a200 with 2 lenses, 2 mem cards, bag and all cables, manual ect for £150 :-)
Good thing is its compatable with all AF minolta lenses so buying lenses for the future is going to be nice and cheap.
How you finding yours jb?

Good on ya for choosing a Canon! I found them best for my girlie hands and less bulky than the Nikon too but it's all down to preference as they are both after all the same company.
I've had my 500d for a few years now and keep adding to my kit of lenses, flashgun etc and I agree with the advice of spending less on the main body and keeping your hard earned cash for higher quality lenses.
I have done a couple of weddings and always pleased with the results from my Canon! Keep on playing and trying new things. The HD video is brill quality - if you master it lol!

The 75-300 lense is a cracker, im on my second (sold my 350D with my 75-300) Missed it so bought another 350D and another 75-300 lense! Exspensive mistake!!
Just bought the 600D , but I will keep the 350 as a back up..
My tip, I bought a monfrotto mono pod, £38 cracking bit of kit well made and very usefull.

Well you can seach for any subject you like………………mk1 for instance!
Any results are then shown on screen and you can leave comments regarding the images.
You can also enter groups set up to a particular subject and add photos if you wish.
Its interesting and there are some seriously quality images.
