I'm there Paid for our camping tickets today. I'll go in show and shine and try my luck.
Meeting up with Rich and Dom too who camped with us at AGM.

I'll bring the feather flag and banner with me(and maybe some cakes too)

thats a 170 mile drive, 3 hr trip.

I'm guessing we will need some kind of show pass?
Is there a plan to meet up before sunday ( for them that ain't traveling in a convoy ) ?

I have dropped my car off for the gearbox isssue sorted, so there should be no issues with not being there. Relief!

just read on the mail you received that camping field opens at 12 not 12:30 as stated on the website so 11am sharp from birch is the best idea.. whaddya think..

Dont forget. the theme this year is "MILITARY", so for those of you camping over and coming to the marquee for the live entertainment on the evening its time to head down to the army stores for your berets and camo gear :-) obviously nothing dangerous please!!

….seriously though though, any fancy dress is fine….smurfs and storm troopers included!!

Extra Camping Field Now Available!!!

We have literally only just got back from a meeting at Harewood House to discuss the level of pre-booked tickets already sold and site capacities, and we are pleased to announce that the Harewood Estate have made an additional field available for people to book late camping, and therefore the pre-booking system has now been re-opened.

** PLEASE NOTE ** tickets that are bought from now until close will be specifically designated for the additional late camping area!!

Family camping good for me if there is one as my kids are 2 and 4… although they will probably sleep through owt..  if we meet up before hand we can camp together???

If the huge fun fair doesn't tire the little ones out, then there's the hour long kids disco in the marquee from 6 - 7pm

And because we know how important it is for the kids get a good night's sleep, there's the Family Only Camping Area which has no late night music and is situated near the toilets and camping food stalls.

For the big kids…
Our huge marquee is open from 6pm til midnight and holds a fully licenced bar with enough seating for all. Music comes from a mixture of live bands and popular party music.

A large selection of our traders will be in place and open for business.
         

Our camp site boasts excellent facilities, with food stalls, toilets, lighting and through the night onsite security.

Fancy Dress : We strongly encourage fancy dress at VW Festival. We've had Chewie, Storm Troopers, 60's 70's, a troop of Smurfs, even 6 foot tall babies

and the rules

> No Fires at all
> All BBQ's to be raised off the ground
> No loud music. No music after 10pm at all
> No Vehicle movement after 6pm
> Dogs must be kept on leads at all times
> 10mph maximum vehicle speed at all times > Tickets and Wrist bands must be presentable at all times
> 3 metres must be keep between plots
> Please drink responsibly and consider others around you
> In case of fire…
–> move to a safe distance.
–> use onsite extinguishers and/or call 999
