My GLS green manila 1980
Here is my GLS 1980.
Engine: 1272cc Type GF
Transmission: 4 speed
Distance traveled: 94'600km
First registration: 09/14/1979

This car was parked for 2 years before a garage. I have bought 8 April 2011 with the control carried out the same day. For now, it is still all original. Here the next day after a major clean and polish:

Yes, she'll just get the shock absorbers adjustable for height, and a set of wheels 8 * 15. I'm looking on the internet to pay me RML Snowflake.
The people before me she had died 2 years ago. It was an old gentleman who had bought it new in September 79.
I create the topic on my 78 GLS red tonight.
Thanks :wink:75golf said

Good acquisition. But yours is one of 1981, produced late 1980s with large rear lights and meters squared. As inside, I have a Van Dyck. But you've got a gazelle brown. Is it the red metal indiana (LA3V)?

Mine is registered in november 1980 in Munich. Of course is the 'change' model. (maybe rare ;-) hehe) I will take a look at the colour and tell u. Thanks for info. I know a lot about aircooled VW's but nothing about waters…
Ohh a value added is that the 1st owner have all bills since he bought it with EVERITHING he has done on it. I think it's a sacrilege to drive it sometimes hehehe. But it will fit some nice chromed 16" fuchs and some lowered job HAHAH.

So far its evolution:
-Raceland adjustable dampers :/ (I won a contest, the first prize was a set of raceland)
-Pirelli wheels 5.5 x 15 ET38 with 165/45/15 tire
-Jealousy chest (in French sector accessory is called like that. If you have the name used in English, I want to know him)
-Driving gti
-Speed selector Gti
-4 grille lights, with yellow optical
-Logo grille GLS
-Temperature gauge coolant
And of course all the mechanical wearing parts changed
Here are some images of his current condition, ready to stay warm for the winter until 2014
