I dont know if I'm too late to join the proceedings. If my car is ready, fingers crossed, I'll be going. Looks like a good day out. Can you put me down as a possible? I'll update you when I confirm the car is good to go.

before - jetwashed before the show because a dinosaur type bird dropped its load on-it

Had a peek at the shell the other day & she's looking good, hopefully the doors, bonnet, hatch etc will be getting done this week.  
how's the 16v? Did you get rid of the other mk1 you had?
Meant to arrange some meets this year but due to health / work issues have never got round to it…. and thats half the year away already!
I've still got that rear bench in my shed if you're interested  :redfaced:

Wont be needing that rear bench, I sold the GTI in Feb, yeah I still have the 16v, got a few wee jobs to do on it, just fitted a new cv boot tonight, need to give the car a good wax  8)

A meet in August would good, think we should get better turn out this time

I have got 10 tickets inc One free complimentry drink with each    , probably be able to turn some tickets into paper aeroplanes   passengers in cars are £5 but look out in the daily sun i think for vouchers for passengers , i got some last year

the letter states that all display cars must be there before 9:30am

so we will be leaving broxden at 9:00 sharp! please
Make the new meet time at Broxden 8:45am , i am normally there in plenty time.

looking forward to getting the banter with other mk1 owners,please guys/girls maximum effort to make what is a rare occuraunce of mk1s meeting in scotland

Even though my golf has broke down twice when hot and won't restart I will be there for 0830, got to try a fuel pump relay which hopefully will be at home when I get back from NOT SUNNY BELGIUM  :cry:
