right petrol tank arrived from BBT yesterday so its going into the garage later on this afternoon! its getting the tank fitted, rubber pipe from the tank to the filler neck done and the carb tuned

cheers matey its being picked up this week from the unit and taken to my mechanic to get running right with the carb and the tank fitted

Its alive! car is now running! insuring this week so i can finally get modding it! woop!

right so i am now insured on the car, got 1mile from home and it broke down again! deep joy! so pushed it to my uncles last night whipped the airbox off and have seen that the choke cable wasnt in its little holder to keep it tight ! so that explains the erratic idle, then we found a split water hose that was leaking and made it look like the thermostat was knackard so we cut that down and re-fit it. we now think that the diaphram on the fuel pump has shoot the bed so ordering one off BBT today so i can FINALLY get driving the thing. dont you just love mk1's ?.

right not updated in a while….

firstly its still not fixed put a new fuel pump on and a different carb it does run just needs the idle setting and tweaking about abit.
