how easy is it to reskin a roof?

cos it has a sunroof?  Its a pain mate but you have to find a roof first!

its a proper shitty one but to be fair its hardly the worst bit of the car…. will take some pics tommorow when im at work.

would a decent welder not be able to patch the roof? or is that gaurenteed to end up with a roof like a rough sea?

there is absolutely no way you would get a roof welded up! it would be impossible on a mk1 because its so thin!

Like you say tho if you get it its something to worry about down the line, when its road legal and your looking at sorting the bodywork out.

Buy it, get it MOT'd and took back to standard then worry about stuff like that later!

i'd be aiming to have the car on the road in about a years time first thing would be sort the bodywork and get it painted the go from there….
