its not the flywheel that decides the clutch size its the gearbox.

What box are you using mate?

Its a 020 box code reads 020 310 107 h. The code on the bellhouseing has been near ground off but u can make out acd os/5058 from the space its guesswork lol also looking for a end cap for the box as the one on its a bit jiggered.

Cheers again

I have no idea what box has which part numbers mate, if your box is from a mk1 1.8 GTI or a mk2 GTI you have the right clutch there

Im 99.9% sure the clutch you have posted is the correct one.

just buy it and then remove the plate and offer it up to the input spline to the box (inside bell housing)  if it fits then bobs you uncle

Standard LUK clutch on a 020 box won't survive long with a 1.8t conversion, i killed an uprated one in 3k miles.

Running an 02A box now with a helix paddle clutch, i have a bad history with clutches so went over the top for this one, should be fairly indestructable!!

Building my own hydro pedal box for brake & clutch, cost me prob about £140 for everything including the 3 cylinders/balance bar.
I was running it on a cable conversion but is really heavy and before that I had a floor mounted pedal box that was truly rubbish.

it IS the flywheel that determines the size of the clutch ;)

the gearbox decides which clutch you need, either 8v or 16v as the 8v uses a smaller spline than the mk2 16v boxes. sicne 16v clutches only come in 210mm you need to change the flywheel if its a 190 or 200mm one
