Oh, and in case you are wondering from the rear pics…the car was not originally red, it was always black, but she had had  a rear shunt and the rear skin was replaced with a red one, did a HPI check anyway………restoration company said was the best repair work they had ever seen!!!! It took them ages just to find all the welds on it…….poor old Gertie, she has been through it during her 163,000 miles!!!!

Cheers Tony, yes it is costing a bit, but she really needed it, fortunately I have just sold my 10 year old Cherokee Jeep this weekend and that should about cover it......well that and a few other items I have been fleabaying :-)Hopefully will be well worth it in the end mate, will post more pics as soon as I have them.Cheers.

Oh mate I did see that thread…bloody awesome, I WISH I had that sort of skill….but I REALLY dont :-( To answer your question, the engine bay is pretty clean and tidy on mine, few bits need doing but I will get around to them next summer…….the truth is this engine has done 163,000 miles, so at some point I am prepared that it will die and need to be fully rebuilt, and I will probably get the gear box done at the same time…when that happens, only my car can really decide :-0 But in a way I am looking forward to that side of it…not paying for it…but knowing it will all finally be 100% :-)
