Golf mk1 2,0 Gti Berg cup project

Oh yes, it's just work in progress, the edges are smoothed now, Just that there's different angles from inside and outside because the throttle body is circular and the intake manifold is oval.

I will post pics of finished later 2day, you'll see what I mean. /// Peter

Great, reason i said it is my Audi80TB on my 2.1 8v had a large step within the inlet manifold like your in progress picture so i smoothed out the transition aiding about 20%+ area for airflow.

Great updates, are you going to any uk events/shows for 2012?

Ok, yes I can imagine restrictions like that cause much less airflow. We did some changes today accually. We decided to weld on more alloy on the intake manifold, so the whole area could be opened instead of making angled inlet.

I will get the adapter either this weekend or early next week.

Also did some other work today in the garage.

Mixed polyester with putty and hardener, brushed on the diffuser.

Gives a pretty smooth surface, flexible but strong.

I also had to make a decision. move the muffler, cut the difuser.. or, cut the muffler.. hehe

Oh, sorry.. did mention to answer that. But I don't think so.. would be tons of fun, but it depends on how my vacation turns out, economy and what "the boss" want to do this summer, hehe (meaning girlfriend).

You could pm some info of the best events in uk this summer if you want, so I can promote them to her :)

Ooops, couldn't resist a opportunity.. bought new rims :)

Mine are 14x9", extended steel rims.. looks good but doesn't allow bigger brakes, neither do they fill out the wheel arch as I want..

Well, curious about what I  bought?

Theese! :D

Borbet A, 16x9"

Note that the wheel is slightly turned, didn't bring the keys so that has to do.

I'm going to do a little refurb, polish the edges and put plastidip on the "stars" matte black will look good I think.
