Golf 1.6 Diesel - now 1.9 TDI
It needs a little love….. and 2 wings to start with, then a door later….. and rear arches even later on :redfaced: :redfaced:
It's got 12 months MOT, so there'll be no rushing in sourcing the parts, but you'll probably spot me at Edition 38 looking through the autojumble on Sunday
GTD comes to mind, but for now it's 1600cc
Here's some photos for starters…………..

yes my friend  though i was thinking of buying that
I was getting worried someone was going to buy it before I could get chance to pop over to see it.
Blans, I've also been looking for a Derv for a while, have you seen the yellow mk1 diesel on Ebay? Link below….

not happy warren
i was the other person interested only to get an email saying someone bought it the night before
the search continues
There was plenty of interest Jelly  , including from Milton Keynes and Bristol 8)
Got back from Edition 38 and delved a bit further into the body work, here's some photos of the problems………
N/S Front wing shot………
O/S Wing shot………….
O/S Wing again…………
N/S Rear arch needs replacing eventually………..
Filler cap panel shot……….
Rear panel, lot of rust by the number plate lights…………
Interior is a bit tired, but extremely comfortable
On a plus note its solid in the spare wheel, boot area, the brown you can see is dust 8) 8)
Another plus is it's a diesel and pulls like a trojan……….
And the paint work that isn't affected by rust, actually T-Cuts up well

Looks like a cool project. Would be nice to have a diesel.
When does the work start?
Start properly this weekend, though had the wire brush on the panel next to the fuel filler cap and exposed the extent of the corrosion, put a bit of kurust on it last night
Might have a trip upto a scrap yard in Crewe on Saturday and get a wing and interior, just waiting for the guy to get back to me with some photos
There are too many online users to list.
