Not even back a day and this happened

The old black dash

Unfortunatly it got too dark to get a pic of the new one in and still need to fit the carpet - tomorrows tasks along with fitting new indicator stalks and finish plugging in the random not yet diagnosed wires

Right, Carpet and dash are in (too dark again for pics with seats)
brake lights working properly
the wiper stalk pretty  much fell to pieces when taking it out so need to find a replacement

anyway here's what's been happening

Seats are no in but it was too dark again
And one of the dash fitted up

If anyone has a pre 90's, non MFA, no hazard light wiper stalk then let me know. It's the only thing holding me back from sorting the rest of the wiring out… oh and a blown tail light bulb

ok - bit of an update:

I've started acquiring the other brown trim to hopefully finish off the interior and the car currently resides at
J-tech to sort out the running issues -

here is a list of all the issues discovered that need attention:

  • bolt missing from rear engine mount.
bolt missing from front engine mount.
large awasher missing from outer cv/hub nut.
snapped exhaust maniflold causing a blow.
oil seal from end of input shaft missing from gear box.
    clutxha cable incorrectly adjusted.
rear main seal leaking badly, this has gone on the clutch but we are saking it in brake cleaner as is new!
    sump weeping badly.
    drain plug distroyed.
engine earths are made from stereo earth cables and gold plated terminals. one bolted to an exhaust manifold stud.
steering rack gater not fitted properly.
    gear linkage missing retaining clip.
off side front anti roll bar drop link nut not done up.
    tracking and camber out badly.
    exhaust rubbers missing or perrished.
head light loom shorting out on body work.
wipers not connected at fuse box.
    fog not working.
    inner cv boogt split.
gear box bolts were finger tight.
brake pedal has long travel as it has had a 16v brake upgrad but not a 16v servo.
master cylinder blanked with 2 16v fly wheel bolts (very dangerous!)
inlet pipe has open holi in the bottom with no filter.
    air filter insecure
    rear beam bushes badly perrished[/list:u]

everything will be getting sorted out so she's to the standard she should be.

Now i'm off to pick up some adhesive to re-trim my doorcards.
oh and the 16v front and rear seats are up for grabs if anyone's interested

This afternoon a few bits were changed to suit the rest of the interior so here goes:

The black parcel shelf was the first to get the treatment

And finished

Then onto this - can you tell what it is yet?

woo getting there

and done - still need to add the trim along the top but deciding whether to use black or chrome to match the dash trim

I'm tempted to fit a black vinyl along the top but still undecided

then onto a spare parcel shelf support i had. Just need to do the drivers side now

Parts left to do:
False floor
Sub enclosure
Opposite enclosure
Fit the biscuit rear seat cover when it arrives
Front door cards

and then source some front brown seats
