I got nailed by a user on here who now is banned, I completely agree with funk-stars sentiments theres obviously peeps who target clasifieds on forums and we should protect ours!
if you don't raise with paypal asap they will just fob you off as the payment protection works both ways!
Good luck mate!

Paypal adds a service charge (conveniently to the receiver of the money, not the sender) to provide a bunch of stuff, mainly a dispute resolution process which is (if not totally fair and impartial) at least well documented and laid out. Best advice is to use this.
Whether forum users who sell parts should be vetted better, or the club offer guidance, or its own alternate dispute resolution…..maybe? Its a topic worthy of discussion. But at the moment, this forum seems to do very similar to a lot of other forums, ie just provides a platform for people to flog stuff, and those interested to find and buy it.

The MR2 owner's club had a feedback system for the classifieds, can't remember which board they were running though - I'm fairly sure it was phpBB.

1. When Paying for eBay stuff using PayPal, ALWAYS send payment using your Credit Card to fund your Payal transaction. I've had a problem with a US seller who didn't supply goods. He waited 45 days before stopping all communication (knowing that PayPal would wash their hands after that period of time). I gave him the time as I was unaware of the PayPal time period and it was ment to be shipped at lowest/ slowest delivery method. Once I realised this guy was a thief I called my credit card company. They credit your account and chase the seller directly.
2. I have had 1 problem with a seller on here. It really peed me off. He sent some fradgile grill surrounds in bubble wrap through Royal Mail and obviously they all got bent. He didn't want to know once I contacted him and walked off with my payment I'd like to name and shame but not sure it is allowed, plus he hasn't posed on here for 2 years now.

I am currently awaiting a delivery from a forum member who trades on EBay.
His postage costs are outrageous and he openly admits that he uses the postal costs to cover his EBay fees- a violation of EBay rules.
Once/If I receive the item, my first action will be to inform EBay of the violation and start a claim through PayPal for fraud (this is possible if you dig deep enough)
Fortunately the seller used the EBay message system to admit mis-use of the postal charges, therefore EBay has full visibility of the violation.
If anyone wishes, I can supply both the full name and EBay username of the offending party.

Was the cost of the item excluding delivery less than its market value by the same amount? One wonders why you paid over the odds. "Rare" by any chance?

think we should have a sticky page with fraudulent users details on it. i know its name and shame, but would flush out people who have no intention of shipping items and just conning people.
if you are a seller and have nothing to hide then there would be no issue.
just a thought.
