crazy quiffs three point cabby rear belts ?

crazyquiff said

Hi all,

I've spoken to our "guinea pig" customer and they have it fitted up and are using it with their child seat.  They said that the garage that fitted it reported that they were well made fitted well and they could hang the car off them if they wanted - so plenty strong enough!!

We are ready to take orders for the first batch of say 10 car sets.  Pricing is £150 per pair + £25 for a pair of seat belts (used - when available).  Kit will include the brackets, nuts and bolts, fitting instructions and templates.

This will be done as a first come, first served basis - delivery is estimated for the end of November.  We can also fit them to your car if required (costs and times on this TBA).

If you would like to order a set please contact us - http://www.golfmk1.co.uk/AboutUs.htm so we can take your details and a £30 deposit.

Cheers

Rich

hi

this looks like it went quiet… do you still retail the kits and are there any reviews from people that have had them fitted?

Yes these are on the market now - see them on the website here

All the feedback we've had has been positive.  I'm running my cab with them in and I think they are great - well I would though wouldn't I :)

I have just fitted these to my wife's cab to enable us to put our daughters child seat in the back. Well worth the money and time to fit them. I will be putting some photos on my project thread later today

Hi,

Sorry to restart an old thread, but has anyone got any photos of these fitted in their Mk1 cab? I'm looking for both photos of the boot for the fixings and the back seat/shelf to see how they look once in.

Cheers

Hello Rfd

We've just sold a Cabby we had in stock with these fitted. They're a really substantial bracket and look a proper job. Here's the pics I had posted on FB a few weeks ago;

If I wanted 3-pointers fitted, I'd certainly be giving CQ a shout ;)

Hope that helps.

Cheers
Andy

these weren't  available when I did mine, they look great but if you're in a budget….
I've seen a car with home made mounts on top of suspension turrets. L shape thick metal and pugeot 205 belts.
I've personally put two racing harnesses in the back.. £50 all done And the kids feel like Lewis Hamilton!

As a child in the mid to late 80's my old man had a C plate Mk1 Cabby - I used to get to sit in the back whilst my parents sat in the front enjoying all the wind protection that the windscreen gives…whilst I froze my proverbials off in the back seats.

To this day I still hate all cabrio cars and consider them child cruelty! I have the same views on dingy sailing in the UK!

Jus' sayin'  :P

Appreciate an old thread but my car I bought a few weeks back came with these brackets and fixings I would like to fit. Anyone have the instructions? Photos above do help. Given the drilling required want to get it right.
