Ronko quick question where did you get your shells from tried gsf but they dont do them. My engine code is EG might not be the same as yours, as mines a series 1 gti.

Thanks for the compliments fellow mk1 enthusiasts. I'm going to do the upgrade when I've located some t-pieces and am going to follow the guide on here, once I've sorted the oil leak it's developed from behind the engine somewhere just can't be bothered even looking where it's coming from at the moment due to snowy, wet, hungover conditions  :naughty:
Adam I got my shells from someone I know who had a old new set knocking about but there's a place called avs Vw spares I know of google it for the number. Or there's a place in Stockport called Quaser engineering sure one of them can get you some or just try a local engine re-builders.

If it isnt broke fix it until it is.

Ok ive been doing the servo and master cylinder upgrade the last couple of nights ive got it all back together and bled it up, cant try it yet though because the cars got no wheels on there having new tyres on and getting balanced should be done tomorrow. Pedal feels really firm ive ran the engine up and appears to have no leaks. a few pics of the job.
this is how it looked before i started

The corrado one on the left is alot larger than the stock one on the right.

The bottle on the left is the corrado one which was no good as its got the three outlets on the side. The original mk1 bottle couldnt be used because of the mounting outlets. The middle one is off a new polo from the scrappy fits really well along side the air inlet tube no pic yet.

Got this new tank aswell from that chubnut fella on ebay

If it isnt broke fix it until it is.

Test drove the car today and this upgrade was a great thing to do braking is so much easier and positive, alot less force is needed to brake and stops much better. Not that hard either a couple of tricky nuts underneath thats all. That guide on the left is spot on.

Nice job, is the rado one same as the 16V one or bigger?

Not to sure hairyarse I'm guessing maybe a bit more beefed up than the 16v as the car was heavier but might be wrong might be the same.
