I think leaving at quarter past would be safer. as an hour to get through to knockhill from there is leaving it a bit tight when there could be hold-ups or queues to get in... I dont know how busy it is at that time for this event. There could be lots of cars there early doing the same as us........

Leaving at 8.15 is cool for me too. Where at broxden services should we meet? seen as there's a car park at the Esso garage, a park and ride, maceedeees and a Travel lodge. Esso could be suitable if people need to top up?

Ross, I was coming back into perth from Dunning and my bonnet flew open. It went up past the wipers and smashed off the roof. Lucky it didn't smash the windscreen. Initially the bonnet was bent in the middle at about a 45 degree angle but i've managed to straighten it out so I can at least shut it and the damage isn't so noticeable. Bonnet needs replaced though and need the dent in the roof knocked out.

I'm looking forward to this event though, it should be really good and good to meet everyone.

known me i will be there in plenty time , im actually looking forward to firing up the Mk1 at 6ish in the morning & enjoying a quiet road on the way down.You never know I might even meet some other classics on the way.

Don't want to be a complete let down to the side guys but there is a chance I might need to miss this one out. Just realised my car is due it's MOT and seen as i'm out of work just now and having no money I can't get it done yet.
I'm thinking about taking the risk and coming along sunday then taking the car off the road. But im not 100% sure yet.
I'll keep use posted.

Sorry to say it but I wouldnt be risking it, especially when going to knockhill. Keep in mind theres nearly always police waiting to catch people speeding when heading away from knockhill when theres an event on. Would be just your luck if they were checking cars for insurance and MOT at the same time…
