yea well happy with it….I knew i would be…..still got a mop and polish to do so it'll have that Glass finish….pop windscreen back in and door locks…should have it home on sunday " weather permitting "

The metal around the filler neck " inner and outer " had totally rusted through…did not know at the time it was possible to get replacement panels…….so i made a slight modification…
The filler neck is a dummy filler for a twin tank set up for a classic mini….I restored a 1961 mk1 mini a few years ago …going to finish it off with an alloy filler cap

Yip…love them too…bit of a learning curve….original colour of my mk1 was also O/E/W.been there would not wanna do another

Booked the Golf for interior fit and new roof with gibbson and  turner from Caerfilly just outside Cardiff…these guys have come highly recommended hence 3 months before they can sort me out…if they are any good will be worth the wait  :wink:

A quick trial fit of the rear refurbed badges to see how they look…finishes off the rear nicely  8)





Not made much progress of late apart from fit x1 wheel arch.
Sent the front bumper and 1 wheel arch back to the paint shop to be re-done
had them back today so can crack on

Really looking forward to seeing this finished.

Cant wait to get mine painted later this year.
