fixing pump and accumulator

now at the point fixing the fuel pump and accumulator and plumbing it in, just one thing im getting confused about. how do i mount it :S

anyone got a any pics of the underside of the car where the pump and accumulator mount the floor pan?

it never had one before because it was a manual one on the head before the conversion im just trying to find out how to secure it next to the tank.

is it an abf mk3 you have converted
which has a commom rail injection?

nah, audi 6a,

its a mk1 gti pump and accumulator, running with kr metering head

so you will need the fuel pump and acc from a mk2 gti, if that white jetta is the kebab,so there will be no points to locate, so where you can as long as no movement,mk1 pump no good as not enough pressure or is the other way round :dontknow:

ive got mates who have built 16v mk1s before and theyve used a mk1 gti pump and accumulator and theve run fine. not quite sure what you meen about the  jetta though coz that was just a daily while this is being built

clicked on that link below the pic of that red golf and saw the white jetta and a quick fick thro and and came up with 9..... :redfaced:

ah lol. nah i just got that as a daily while im building the golf engine up.

is there any mounting points for mk1 gti pump and accumulator? or any special brackets i need to buy or owt?

It looks like your missing the acc bracket,have you tried VAG CAT,it's a parts list,you will have to register but that will help find identify what your missing :dontknow:

yeah the mk1 pumps are fine with your setup, mk2 items wont even fit under there as no room. you should have a bracket round the accumulator, and some rubber bobbin thingies. does look like in pics you have later cabby pipes and accumulator? if so they sit in a different spot.

where do i fit the accumulator sorry just realised them pics are for the tin top one accumulator. i understand how the pump goes on now but still at a loss with the accumulator, how do i fit the cabby accumulator to a tintop if theyre in a different spot?
