My poor little car.

My little Cabbie was sat on my drive, when all of a sudden an evil Audi A3 driven by a crazy old lady, came up behind her and smashed her in the bum, the old lady had tried to turn round, but hit the gas not the brake. She hit my pride and joy so hard, she was spun round 90 degrees. The damage to my little beast is, smased rear drivers light, bumper, boot lid, rear quarter, side trim and the wheel arch. This only happend 30mins ago, but I had to share the tail of woe. Gutted does not express the half of it :banghead. I bet the insurance company will not pay wot I think shes worth. All the time and money spent,Wasted. :(  :(  :(  :(

yea every year, tested at 60,eye sight, and such then at 70 full driving test again and again at 75,that should keep some of the old age pest's from harming them self's or others,i know that it is just a lump of steel that has been damaged but what if my young son had been the victim, :dontknow:

Gutted mate, nothing worse than having some other muppet write off your car, especially when your not even driving it, the same happened to me with a fire, but thats a different story.

Make sure you start gathering adverts for similarly spec'ed cars.

When my old golf got written off they offered me £600 to begin with(After i got them to admit indemnity). In the end i got just shy of £2000 for it.

If you also find a specialist who could estimate a value for it pre damage and write you a letter to such effect it would be a massive help.

The general consensus is reject their first 2 offers if you are unhappy with them and accept their third.

Its also worth stating right at the start of the claim that you would like to keep the vehicle, if you do of course, as this will be taken into account on how much they will pay out.

I know how you feel mate - same thing happened to me right outside my house! Some ass*** in a lorry smacked into the rear panel of my car and scraped all along the side of it right to the end. The car is pretty much a write-off now - I was planning on selling it this spring anyway but am fair gutted, have had it for 3 years. Am still trying to decide what to do - it's complicated by the fact we live in Germany. The car's in good order (mechanically anyway). It's a b****** - I don't even know who it was cos the police never caught them. I was inconsolable for hours after I saw it   :(

Thanks for all the kind words guy and girls, I took the car to the local spray shop and he pointed me in the direction of a accident repair specialist, they rang an assesor there and then and he was there within 15 mins (something the germans are good at) as i live in germany (gutersloh)too, i am at the mercy of the german insurance system,  he said the fact that it is a right hand drive means i should get more money and be able to buy her back aswell. they also have to pay me as i have opted not to have a curtisy car (25 euros a day) so that should help towards the repair bill.
can any one tell me how to uploads photos please?? also gtirivagegirl is that your cabbie for sale in the sixth sence, lol saw it on saturday when lookin for a new cabbie?? thanks again, Andy.

thats cr P mate hope it all works out for the best

as for uploading photos go sign up at photobucket.com once you got that sorted just click on upload images and it gives you a browser window, point it to where the pics are on our hard drive and click ok, it pretty easy then just click on the photo you want to show on here and click share and it takes you to another window where it gives you a list of all the thins you can do, if it is on here you want to post them click get link code the on that page where it says IMG for bulletin boards & forums cut and paste the code .. will be like this >
then paste that into your message on here :) sounds more difficult than it is

yes mate that's mine in just now - the silver Clipper Cab. It's only insured 3rd Party so have kinda been screwed. Who do you have insurance with over here? My folks actually live in Gutersloh so if you find a decent garage to do the work for you, then let me know - we may end up keeping it if no-one takes it. Don't think I could bear to scrap it… Just don't have the money or the inclination at the minute to take it on myself - we wanted to sell it & get a new car this year anyway (we also have a Rivage). There's a few Cabs advertised at the moment in BFG - have you checked out ufish4it.com, cos people advertise on there too.

What a dosey cow…..

Thats shocking, id have wanted to knock her out.

aha…

Bet she was a bit shook up too…

You gotta love the oldies who wave about thinking your speeding cause your cars loud, jumping about their seats in a pure rage, to then forget their actually driving and cause mayhem to others by driving carelessly themselves.

Try and squeeze as much otut he insurance as possible.

Good luck mate.
