MY 1st VW,,MY 1st project car

no pics yet but i have now got my coilies fitted and the front lower arms,anti roll bar bracket stud broke so i need to get some of them so i can fit that back on.
as for the bumpers marko the centers will be black when finshed,where the indicators.also fitted upper and lower strut braces to keep it all tight ;-)
i have some corrado vr6 seats to fit but the rear seats don't fit owt like.has anyone got any advice on how to fit these?

scratch that on the corrado seats guna fit standard but with the corrado head rests fitted on when re-trimmed.

project now on hold,her indoors wants house improvements,huge list of to do's ;-(
unless we have a mild winter and i can bare the cold looking like next year now for completion.
maybe a good thing tho,no need to rush it,i'm not going to drive it in winter anyhow.

i did have the wheels shot blasted but no pics,took ages to sand back smooth the rim,well worth the effort tho :)

had these nickle plated only cost £14 :)


axle fitted back on now


decided to clean up rather than re-new drums
before during work in progress :)

been and bought new hanbrake cables £12 each,rear wheel cylynders £9.50 each,brake shoes £11.00 and even got new springs for shoes at £5 for the set.
bargain me thinks :)

also put new brake flexi pipes on all round worked out at £10 each.today i have been fitting new brake pipes all round,just got one more to fit on osr.job for tomorrow:)

found the fuel pump just dangling under car,need a bracket to support it

had a coil cover

didn't fit very good,then found this




also seen the nsr handbrake need a little support

made this to fix it

finally got round to doing some work on the cab
no pics yet but got new head lining in,i made a new bag for the roof and fitted new mohair roof ;)
on the look out for a new carpet now

roof fitted






also got the dash and knee bar all fitted in.
knee bar painted in rover nightfire red,pretty good match too,steering wheel ebay bargain,built door up too to get a fuller picture of she will look like when finished.
decided to get her out and give here a wash.since the sun shown up it only felt right.here are some more pics










looks just as good with roof down :)
