A quick update
All going well one of my mates is taking a old skool Mini & another a Mk1 fiesta super sport on this Run (will post Photos later).
Up here in Scotland with the distances involved. I think the only way to give this Run half a chance of success is to invite other car enthusiasts as well so if you wish to invite them go-ahead.
I know personally I would have jumped at the chance a couple of years ago to join in a meet/run to see a Line up of Mk1 Golf's. Of course now I have my own  8)

Saturday 29th may

Meet in tesco carpark at inshes retail park Inverness  between 8:00 to 8:30 (leaving bang on 8:30 )
Google Maps
- Travel down the A9
- Turn of at the carbridge junction
- then head for perth via the lecht
127 miles later
- re-fuel at the petrol station next to meeting point  - on these windy roads my mk1 will start chugging if it goes in the red

- Leave when everyone arrives for 11:30ish
- Run to the lecht ski resort -72 miles -1hr 30 min

Aye im up for that hopefully a braw day and can get the roof down.
Im about 20 mins from perth.
Ill postpone the pics till i get the coilys and new wheels on this weekend, If its a bad day and i get a camper before then maybe go in that if thats ok?

Got the car out on the road for the first time in 6 months lastnite. new clutch works a treat and dont want the weather to test if the new roof is water tight!

aye will meet up in perth unless anyone from fife is going and i can meet them on the way?
Would prefer that really as its about 30 to 40 mins to perth so would be a bit company will have a mate tho so not too bad.

Sorry I can't make it this time with the cabrio. Car is still in the garage and has never been touched for months. Why is it you think you have ages to get the car ready then it just gets put off til it's too bloody late?! :redfaced:  Can I come in my Mk2 Gti??
