Burnt Out

Well the little motor went last night, r.i.p…  :cry:

what happened to it mate?

Looked out the window this morning and noticed my car was gone. so had a look round the local streets and spotted it had been burnt out.  :cry:

oh no, thats grim. gutted for you hope the insurance pays out well.

was stolen and burnt out??

gutted for you mate, i don't live in the nicest area, thats why i leave my car 10miles away in a garage in a small village  :wink:

I'd just travelled down to bucks last week to pick up a replacement engine too. Gutted completely :0/

Out of interest, what security / anti-theft measures did it have?

Any immob / alarm? Or just as VW intended it to be.

No Alarm as such, fitted but non working, not that it matters because my windows are double glazed and you can't hear an alarm anyway.

It was very imobilised by a madferret design immobilser which I presume is why they got just 2 streets away.  :wink:

I was looking to get a pager alarm but hadn't bought it yet as the car wasn't in the best of states until I had sorted this engine out, anyway I didnt have the cash to get it yet.

I hope the insurance do the decent thing but I doubt they will.  :dontknow: It's been stolen twice before but they never got it more than a street or 2, guess it was only a matter of time.

Sorry to hear it mate and hope they catch the culprits.

They probably wont even log it as a crime, local police arnt even bothered these days. It got broken into before and actually had one of them say that he'll not bother to log it this time.  :roll:

sounds like there the same as the police down this way aswel
