Jellybelly's Cabby!! Arty Photos!!!
i've done it again!!!!!
but this time it's a cabby
1988 clipper cab 1.8 carb engine
collected it last night with a mate of mine (Top bloke!!!) got it home and that was that
have a look
interior!
this car is in alot better condition that project rot box so this is going to be the car on the road and the tintop is the project
things will happen to this but slowly, not as slow at project rot box tho
the only problem is that it doesn't run.
it starts up and rev's but is rough and then it dies after it dies it just doesn't start again for a bit
not sure what but i'll have a look at the weekend

As for your running issues, remove the pipe that goes to the fuel filter and pop it in a jerry can with fresh fuel, if it runs better replace all the flexible fuel pipes and filter and see if that makes any difference.
Also check the ignition amp in the scuttle.

If I can get mine running I'll be in a mk1 for the first time in months… otherwise it's the crappy Vectra again
Love the cabby mate… you're doing absolutely nothing for me holding off getting another mk1 though lol !!!

got it running today with a little help from my dad (legend)
took it for a bit of a drive down the road which was good made me smile again
problems to sort out:
idle speed it to low so needs adjusting somehow
when you put pedal to the metal nothing really happens
clutch biteing point is very high (new clutch i reakon)
front indercator sometimes works sometime doesn't
should keep me busy
