There used to be a hairdressers nr Whittle-le-Woods called 'Curl up and Dye', didn't do them any harm customer wise. Like any business, you've got to build a reputation up then let word of mouth do the rest plus advertising, then people wouldn't be too wary. It's catchy tho' it's a play on an already familiar phrase. Also it's better than :
'The Best hand job in Leeds' 8O

Implies something is free which isn't the case, also IMO 3+ word company don't usually work (of course there are exceptions).
I think the most successful 2 work business names tend to rhyme or at least flow nicely as they are then more easily remembered. Just as an example, Violet's Valets rather than Aarvark Valets.
I mentioned valley valet, and you wont get anything better to rhyme with valet…apart from ballet
Ive just checked, there`s an Aardvaak valet co in Telford…doh

Aardvarkvalet.co.uk is available for a domain name @ ?5.98 for two years. get in.
The domain name is available because it's a rubbish name, despite that, for some unknown reason, someone is already actually using it as their business name.
Anyway if you're going to go the pointless route of trying to be first in the YP then at least be sure and call it Aaadonta Valeting. But even then wouldn't names starting with a number still be above it? So you'd want somthing like 1st Stop Valeting. But as I said, I don't think it's worth persuing.

All you need to do is put loads of A's,1's or dots somewhere on the ad,which can be very small and not noticeable, then Bob's your Uncle……you're at the start or very near it depending if others have more!
Was told this by a YP rep many years ago and by the looks of it, it still goes on.

Clean machines taken
Perfect valet taken
Premium valeting taken
Shiney shine valeting, not taken but probably too long
Depends if the person's main interest is valeting or detailing as to what they'd want it prefixed with, safer perhaps not to have valeting or detailing in the name??? Something like "Misogi" the Shinto cleansing ritual. From what I've read Misogi is always done by hand, so would suit a high end valeting/detailing business.
One word company names work well, look at some of the weird but popular internet site names.
Anyway, think I've added all I'm going to to the thread.

I think i am looking for more of a detailing route tbh as this is what i preffer to do, although i wouldnt turn my nose up to valeting jobs.
As regarding the name i am very tempted to something that doesn't include 'valeting' or 'detailing' in the title. Just a one word Fancy name is what i am looking for, something clever that catches the eye.

How about something along the lines of 'Concourse' or 'Classic', seeing as theseare the sorts of people most likely to be wanting the clay bar treatment?
