well over the last few weeks due to the weather and work i have not done nearly as much done on my mk1 as i had wanted.
the plan was to have it finished by last week and on the road as of today, but not all is lost as i'm hoping it's not going to be raining tomorrow and i can get the last of the welding done and my wheels painted.

well i've had a few problems with the electrics over the last few days, and it's really been making me scratch my head to solve them.
i've wired in some new tail lights and then found loads of problems ( to many to mention ) with the electrics in the car, so i've made up a newe loom and put that in after i got home from work yesterday.

this is the old loom that i have removed.

the new one that i made up and fitted

new loom to tail lights and washer bottle

and some random ones while i was doing this all

and this is what my car looks like with the new lights fitted and working

I used to have same chin spoiler as yours, the mk3 gti one but found it looked too chunky so i went for the mk3 golf standard chin spoiler which to me made the car look better from front and side.

With standard mk3 golf spoiler

I also went for same lights as bert and gen citi mudflaps to protect paintwork.

Yours looks good, look after it as they are a very good mk1 fella.
Mines a daily family car, takes me everywhere without any issues thou i do spend alot of my sparetime on her cleaning her, stripping brakes, cleaning all earthing contacts, silicon grease every thing thats moves, well aparts from wheels and tyres lol, make sure nothing goes wrong, joys of owning mk1's lol, but i love it
