Nice one andy about getting the scum on cctv.
With the door being VERY easily being opened, this guy has been watching owners come home, trying on every street no doubt and trying the transmitter and got yours.
I really do not think you have left it unlocked as you mention it has happened on other occassions and i am sure you are not stupid enough to leave it open.
What i think he has done and this could be worth mentioning to the police is:-
If you are locking your car via central locking via the fob he has used a transmitter.
Available on the net or used a transciever radio which will operate on the 433mhz frequency.
You press lock and he presses ptt button therefore blocking your fob from sending signal and not locking car plus not activating alarm.
People tend to think car is locked and walk away, this is perfect for the scum to come back later.
For all that have remote central locking, LOCK YOUR CAR WITH THE KEY
This way it can not be tampered with.
Tell police this, as it is becoming common knowledge on the net and see if they can search his home for a said transmitter or the like.
Then he can be done for operating a radio without a licence and charged on the telecommunications act, more than a slap on wrist for the scum hopefully.
From the video he got in way to easy, that door was unlocked, no two ways about it, plus the chav isn't wearing gloves or posh wank gloves so sure finger prints according to where he placed his hands can be taken.
Hope you can get this on him also
Best wishes
Pete :wink:

If they think it isn't locked when broken into doesn't that make it a very low priority for the police, as it was also your fault for not locking it. :dontknow: Hope they catch him though.

Funny how my speeding ticket landed on the door mat in double quick time :?
What bugs me is any evidence of what he has taken will now have been sold, passed on etc if i ran my business like this i would loose customers as quick as this character got in my car and had my sat nav away….

Grrr, gets me so annoyed to see that opportunistic idiot just taking stuff. I had ?2,000 taken from a credit card by the boyfriend of a girl I knew. I reported it to the police and the bank and nobody did a bloody thing. Finally, the guy handed himself in (guilt trip from gf after she realised and notified me) and then the police were on it. Still, I've never heard what happened at the hearing and they never even asked me for a statement. Should chase it up to find out really…

Quality, looks like he got in rather easy and unless I'm wrong there is no key lock on the passenger side, and I didnt see the indicators flash as if he turned your alarm off. So it was either already open or your signal was jammed.
I'm going for already open, it seemed like he was riding past then stopped to have a good look. Perhaps he noticed the door was unlocked and thought he would take a peek thru the window 1st to check out what was on show, in case he opened the door to look and an alarm did go off.

1st the car was locked this is 4th time the car has been opened and gone through over the last 8 weeks also other folk in my street have had the same thing happen over the same time period to their cars another Audi, Suzuki, and a BMW all with fobs for opening the doors
I have missed off in the vid where you can see him coming down the street on his bike ignoring all the other cars in the street till he gets to mine,
not managed to get into my Mk4 :dontknow:
when i took the key to audi this week to be reprogramed they told me i was the 4th person that week to have the keys reprogramed. due to being opened by scrotes
2nd the Sat nav, which is old and worth about 20 quid down the pub was in the glove box an obvious place i will grant you but not on display as you suggest.

agree with you there paul just very frustrating when im calling the mrs for not locking the car and when i used it she blames me, just still confused how quick it was if you look close at the vid he tries the door first and it dont open he then puts his bike against the wall goes in his pocket as he approches the car and then opens the door :dontknow:

In true Cluedo fashion :
* Scrote from Breightmet
* On a mountain bike
* North o' Bolton
Car was locked, you can see him try it, back to car for a couple o' seconds before he takes bike to prop it up. Some electronic jiggery pokery to hand I'd say IMHO
