Evening.

Got in earlier, had a bath then had a snooze till about 8.00pm  :D , just emptied the Golf, will try drying the tent and other stuff later in the week….weather permitting  :?

Well, what a wet one, started off wet and continued raining on and off till about 7.00pm, then luckily we had a respite for the whole of Saturday night… until all the campers went to bed at approx 2.00am, which helped make for a good night socially.

Those who braved the weekend and camped were………

Mr & Mrs Novocaine
36thCrazyFist
Sam_m
Oldspice
Parker and Tara (aka Bob)
GazzaBangor
D10NHH
Lawsy
Daz1971
Ans4R
Mk1Ali
Painterman
Dubboy
Ant
Vegas
Dom
Gammy

Bert and CorkyGolf braved the Sunday and came in the booted Mk1, aka Jetta TD….which was very helpful having a boot….. you can fit a Bert in there

Also camping and apparently trading, though i have my suspicions he went with the sole intention to have a wee drink was GTiMad…..thanks for helping with the tent on Saturday afternnon  :y: , also hiding further back in the trees was DubMad  8)

Painterman's ability to restack red hot logs in a burning campfire with his fingers was something you need to see to believe  8O , made for an entertaining finale to the night.

Being a new show, it was very unlucky for the organisers to have such weather and I'm sure if it had been good weather then this show would have been a great success, hopfully they'll give it another go next year  :y:

Thanks to everyone who came and made good of what was appalling weather

Will upload photos tomorrow.

But here's 2 borrowed photos……..

well i made the 140 mile trip home no issues, little bit of traffic - got homme to find mrslawsy sunbathing in the backgarden

not a drop of rain at home all day!! typical - but it gave me chance to get the tent and gazebo back up and dried - by 8pm they wer ebone dry and put away!!

good weekend, despite the rain..

Cant wait to see the pictures that Toes, Vegas, Novocaine and I did on saturday night night

In the meantime I got my cameraout for 10 mins - then away again as it was too wet..

depressed one!!!

Hi guys, was soo looking forward to DubMania, but what a nightmare….i drove all the way from the south coast on saturday risking life and limb (nearly ending up on the central reservation at 65 mph due to a T**t in a white van) only to find out that it was just camping on saturday!!!
On top of that it was soo wet and miserable i nearly drowned when i stepped out of my car.
On the plus side i met some great guys and gals who were very helpful and also a big thanks to the organisers who refunded some of our hard earn pennies back (take note Gordon Brown & cronies!!!).
Im hoping my Mk 1 Golf Clipper will be ready for the Annual Gathering but if not im still gonna get there.
Cheers guys
Ps has anyone ever fitted corrado rear seats in a golf cab, if so let me know (would like to avoid any pitfalls lol)

Cool pics Si  :D  (except the one of me that is!)  :x

Despite the weather, had a great time and met some more lovely Mk1 owners.

Thank you to everyone who made a cup of tea, cooked etc etc etc!!

The fire at the end of the night was good - even though we got told to let it die down a few times  :o
