You can't have too much left to do on the cabby now bud… anyone looking at this thread… this motor really is nice in the flesh.. even inside the wheel arches have been done

took wheels to be balanced as all wieghts were taken off for spraying, cant believe some of the prices i was quoted just for 4 wheels to be balanced, varied from ?17.50 all the way up to ?38.75....?38.75 thats a joke!

that was scotts where i always go for tyres….not any more im goin to tyres northants they'v got an impressive garage and they show you round if you ask

if the weather permits sat will re strip the reacted painted wheel and that will be the last one done

got to finish the final wheel this week end and got some new seat guides (curtessy of funk-star) as my drivers seat and passenger seats both rock, been told its a relitively easy job to do, gotta take both seats out so thats guna be something new for me to learn how it all comes appart, shall hope fully start this tomoro if the weather stays clear enough

bought these high beam lamps off ebay, excellent condition still with hella decals on was really chuffed, they arrived today, i unwrapped the 1st one everything fine great condition, unwrapped the second one only to discover the guy has stuck brown tape accross the lense and over the hella decal of course damaging the decal when trying to remove it! bit of a crisses as this was one of the main reasons i wanted to replace them, for better clearer ones and ones with the hella logo as original.

after a bit of cursing and searching on the net got hold of hella sales and managed to get a brand new set of replacement stickers for the lamps…happy days

the lights came off a clipper so should fit :dontknow:

Clippers had the old grilles aswell. You will tell straight away if there the same as the mounts are in different places.

i ment the equipment they use its pretty funky technology they use, i'v never seen a 4wheel alignment machine like thiers b4, and their work shops really well kitted out shame not all garages are like that 8O

new HELLA stickers for the lamps arrived today superb…will finish the lights off a treat, will check the lights fit and work before putting the stickers on tho ha just incase!!

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH bugger   !!! lights are the early ones wont fit my grill, guttet as there really very clean inside so the search goes on for some later inner lamps in good clean condition, no mistyness inside so if anyone see's any or knows of any please let me know   , it doesnt matter if they dont have the HELLA decal on the glass as i have replacement decals ready and waiting just need the lights to be clean and clear inside as i have fitted new head lamps so murky inner lamps will stand out

thought the old headlights looked like new anyway- were they not from drunkstar? If so you should get him to px em wit another set……stirring!!!! :mrgreen:

popped round my m8's today, didnt seem to have any runnig problems on the way but when i pulled up outside his house and put it into neutral my engine was running very lumpy like it was not firing on one cylinder, i also noticed i was getting some smoke out the exhaust and fluid spray out the tail pipe, ive checked the leads they all seem to be working?

i pulled them off starting from left to right one at a time, when i took the 1st one off the left one nearest the cam belt it strarted miss firing badly put the lead back on so thats firing ok,

 took the 2nd one off the next one to it and it started miss firing putl ead back on so thats firing ok,

took the 3rd one off did the same as the others started miss firing put it back on so thats working

……… however i took the far right one off and no change in the engines performance didnt start firing worse or better is this the culprit  :dontknow:

i know its not the leads cause i got a shock off it when i took it off and it was sparking against the engine block when i went to put it back on so could it be the plug even tho they are only about 2months old and bosch super4's, i'v taken them all out and checked them and the seen in good clean condition :dontknow:  

i seem to be getting alot of fluid out the exhaust spitting on to the floor cant tell if its petrol or not really, im not loosing water, my oil is fine not contaminated with water, dipsticks clean oil too and checked the dizzy for excess wear or burning seems ok, i dont loose any power when she drives shepulls fine its just on idle she runs poor she rev's fine the rev pick up well and i'v had no warning lights suggest any problems….. its a garage visit for me and my wallet again tomorrow :cry:
