this is how my car sits now on my new wheels and got a new grill and headlights.
got my new engine this week gotta get a few more bits before that goes in :)

Wheels and the body kit go really well together.  Not usually a fan of kitted mk1s.  Nice car.

Thanks for the feedback. I got them done at Wide Wheels, I can't believe how well they fitted in the arches.
The tyres are 195-45-14 which give them a nice stretch but not too much.
  :)

Thats about the only mk1 I have seen with a bodykit I have liked. Is the kit straight off a caddy sport then? Is that colour nimbus grey?

This isnt a 1.1 by any chance with the bodykit smoothed into the metal?

so iv been told the colour is audi tt grey but not 100% sure.
i think the bodykit is zender kit with different arches.

I paid 620 pounds, it had a few things wrong with it,
the drivers door pillar needed repairing
spare wheel well needed a plate welding to cover the hole it had
carb needed rebuilding.

The drivers door fell off one day outside tesco's it was hanging on 1 hinge.

Is the filler still cracked like all way round the bodykit?

no i sorted them out filled em with fiberglass and then touched it all up with abit of spray :P

speaker pods

I built some speaker pods to house my 6 1/2 inch speaker and 1 inch tweeter.
I built them 2 fit in the footwells made of fiberglass and covered in black vinyl.
Let me know what you all think.

I made sure i could press the throttle pedal down without the pod getting in the way.
They sound so much better because there solid and face at ya.

ive took the badgeless grill off and eyebrow got hold of a standard gti single one and now trying to put the car back to standard with a few tweaks going to change engine to 1.8 16v kr for a bit of power
got gti Interior with no marks or rips :)

I'm now converting my little 1.1 golf to a 1.8 16v kr
Things I had to do so far
Cut, flip, move and weld drivers side engine mount and change front, rear and gearbox mount
Change steering rack for a gti rack and gti gear linkage
oh and paint bay
Engine came out of a mk2 golf z600 some photos of car and taking engine out
