Inter Region Karting

did they give you price for how much it is for those not driving?

the location of this is on the back of a industrial estate and a rail yard so pics should be good. and different from the usual park and trees thing we usually get. anyone fancy a raid on ninemeister to as thats just round the corner. pics of golfs lined up outside a porsche specialist must be ironic in some way.

There's also a 'golf' driving range across the bridge which would make a fine alternative photo back drop :)

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines :o

I'll give it until Sunday evening so that there are enough people having a say but Saturday (just for Pedders) is looking good.

I've dropped them an eamil to see if those dates are free. I'll report back tomorrow night

the huge warehouse you see is the venue.
the bridge you see is one of 9 transporter bridges left in the uk. so again a fantastic photo op.

I've read the literature that the company have sent me now.

Besides the event that I've already posted, there is another for ?60 that requires a maximum of 20 drivers. Its a simple event….

20 drivers, 1 race over 40 minutes - NO stopping. the outright winner is the driver with the MOST laps at the end.

he plus point is that it is more of a race and tactics can be employed

BUT there is less time for a social aspect because everyone is on the track together as opposed to the 'heats' in the other race.

What does everyone prefer? I'm going to have to make a decision this next week.

Im in and I like the sound of the 60 lap race, last year it was where you seemed to be placed on the grid and who was holding you up, in the last race i managed to move up 2 places that was because i let everyone in front shoot off for 2 laps so i had clear track in front for 3 full laps before i caught folk up and even though i was last in that race i moved up 2 places on the leader board as i had 3 fast laps.

Dont ask what your club can do for you, but what can you do for your club?

The social aspect'll have to be before (photos etc) and after (hostelry) we'll fill the middle bit with competitive racing   Could sort a scoring scheme for regional teams aswell. See if we can get that bolly 'back over the border'

I have 2 more definites (Carl D and Kath) and at least 2 others who are more than likely up for this. Are we still looking at ?60 - ?65 per person, I'll need to let them know?  :D

Cheers,

Jon
