Brown Colour on oil filler cap

Well after taking it to a good local garage turns out it was the head gasket, he has removed and found no cracks in the head so its getting skimmed this week and then all put back together (also doing the cambelt as well) total cost ?250 !! bargain

he said it was the section in the gasket that keeps the oil and water seperate.

That's a really good price! It's unlikely that it would crack, they're pretty much bombproof engines  8)
